Family Life

On May 24th Vanessa ,our granddaughter ,graduated from High School. It was a great celebration for all of us, including Junior, Fabie and our grandsons from Texas. We had a wonderful time enjoying each others company. We had dinner together at BJ'S Restaurant and than attended the graduation ceremony. Afterwards we went to a yogurt shop, and than went bowling.

The next day we took family pictures and had a surprise pre-graduation party for our son Thomas. He will graduate next December from Sac. State College. The highlight of the party for Thomas was our grandson Jalen break dancing. He never gets tired and just smiles and smiles. Smiles run in our family. Another highlight was letting Thomas know what we have learned from him in life. It was touching and amazing what each of us shared with him. What touched my heart was when Andy ,our ex-son-in-law said, that he sees the interaction that Thomas has with Alyssa and the interaction that Junior also has with his boys. He was looking at me and it meant alot. In this day and age so many parents never share these family skills. As a parents we must interact and demonstrate what a loving family shares with each other.We each have a gift to contribute to the family God has given us. To be safe and really cared about within the family is so important. Showing love at all times and being there for each other. God has truly shown us this.

We also sat down and started to talk about our family reunion within the next two years. We are getting everyones ideas. As we share with each other our family will learn to grow in love with Christ leading us. We want to stay in touch with with each other. God has shown us this in many ways. I learn more and more each day what a blessing it is to have each other.

We are reaching out to all of our family and friends and want you to know that we love being married to each other. We are learning from each other and continue to enjoy the spiritual love that God has for us. Ron makes me laugh and I make him laugh too. Our ministry continues to grow and we are blessed to do God's work. He has used us many times over. We give him all the glory and honor.

Married 5 months and celebrating Valentine's day

Hi family and friends,

Every day is Valentine's day for Ron and I. We are learning so many things about life as a

blessed married couple. I love my husband so much and he is so thoughtful and considerate in

every way a husband can be with God leading us to do his work.

We have been praying every night for our family and friends and have seen great miracles come about.When we pray, we know God brings us closer together and blesses us with his mighty power from the Spirit.

We now have a prayer family with our immediate children Sandy, Judy, Junior and Thomas,

their spouses and our grandchildren. They send us their prayer requests and each week we

support them by praying for their prayers. It brings God's true love that

our Jesus wants us to do for each other. In this life we need to receive love from our heavenly

Father and serve him by praying as a family that he has given us. By doing this our spiritual family will stay united with each other with God's mighty love. What a miracle this is to always be there for each other. Three of our children live in other states, so we really can stay connected this way. We always want to be a part of our children's life and set an example we are always there for them. We are planning to have a family reunion in 2011. Every two to three

years we will get together. We will plan lots of fun activities and enjoy each other to bring more

family unity that God wants us to have with each other.

Ron and I are still working on pictures from the wedding. We want to thank everyone

for all the pictures they took at the wedding like Maria, Erin, Lynda and Heddi. They made

us dvd's too. We have the best family and friends anyone could have.

Our "Jesus without Borders" ministry is going strong. We have touched many people lives doing it. We continue to make gift bags for the homeless. Judy our daughter has sent us

gloves and we will be loading up the bags with them. What a worthwhile reward it is to give

a gift bag and see their eyes light up. The other day a man named Dan saw the socks in the

bag and he was so happy. He showed us his shoes with no socks and was so humble to have

just some socks. What joy it brings to our hearts to see when people really are grateful.

Our First Christmas together.

Dear family and friends,

You are all so special to Ron and I. We have been married now 3 months and loving every thing

about being married. We are learning from each other and marvel how much God has blessed us. We have just bought a new car. It is a 2006 Taurus. It is was the best deal anyone could get. The interior has a oak custom color around the radio and a sunroof. We know it is a gift from God and it will help us in our ministry and we will not drive crazy. We will only carry special cargo in it, our friends and family and they will enjoy it too. Ron can get in it a lot easier than the Honda.I am not sure if I told you, but on Thanksgiving the Honda got sick and the clutch had no power. Thanks to our wonderful son Thomas, he let us borrow his car (hot rod Acura). We were able to have the Honda towed to his friends shop and they fixed it for only $180.00.

Ron and I have promised to drive to work together, since we both work at J C Penny Arden.

We can talk together, enjoy the ride and save money on gas.

God has been so good to both of us. Business for me selling draperies and hard window treatments has been good at J C Penney. Ron does well too. So we are humble.

We have been attending the Friends Community Church twice a month since we were married. Than the other 2 weeks we visit other churches and reach out to them.

We are going to continue to blog about our marriage and what is happening in our life.

WE JUST LOVE THIS GIFT CALLED MARRIAGE....

Happiness to our family and friends,

It has been now 3 weeks that Ron and I have been married in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. We are so so happy and know the blessing of our wedding was our vows before him. Thank you all for coming and experiencing the joy in our hearts. Love was truly seen by all of you as we talked and hugged each other at the wedding. Our marriage is a beautiful refection of God's love for each other. We have entered another door in our lives and are so grateful for the blessings we are now receiving as husband and wife. In fact we really do call each other husband and wife. Ron has such a great sense of humor. He makes me laugh all the time. What joy we see in each other. And yes I try really hard to listen to him. Ha. Ha.

We are still here for all of you too. Let us know if you need prayer and support. Serving the Lord is our main goal to please him.

We went on our spiritual retreat to Monterey. We had a lovely time seeing the ocean and doing our ministry together as the waves rapidly hit the shore. What beauty our Lord has done here on earth. We must never take this beautiful day or memories for granted. We spent about 7 hours at the aquarium. It was quite an experience seeing the little sea horses and jelly fish. We took lots of pictures. The 17 mile drive was out of this world. Seeing the ocean at its blue color of breath taking scenes. Feeding fat squirrels with banana chips. Making friends with the other tourist. Taking a walk at lover's point arm and arm with my moonshine Ron.

We want to thank you so so much for all the thoughtful gifts that were so personal. We will be sending you all personal thank you cards soon.

We want to express our happiness again for you attending our wedding. Also those who couldn't come. My mother Esther sang two songs. Truly that was so beautiful for Ron and me to have her do that.

We are now unpacking Ron's things in our new apartment. The move went well. When Ron left his old apartment of 5 years we prayed for all the good memories he had there. God has truly blessed us both.

We will continue to let you know how are life as a married couple continues. One thing I can truly let you know is ....HAVING SOMEONE TO LOVE IS FAMILY,

HAVING SOMEWHERE TO GO IS HOME,

HAVING BOTH IS A BLESSING.

Ron has been so good to my children and is a wonderful stepdad and is keeping in touch with them.

September is here!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Family and Friends,

Sweet September is here and we are so happy that this beautiful month is upon us. It is shining on us from our Heavenly Father. We are getting so excited, because our wedding date and life together in our Lords grace begans in only 11 more days.

The time has really gone by fast. You can see smiles on our faces just thinking about God's joy in our hearts. We are truly enjoying the time up to our marriage and focusing on what God wants us to do. He is in charge and we express that he truly guide us daily in our lives for eternity.

We got our marriage License and Certificate of Marriage on Wednesday, September 2 and it was quite an experience.  Ron was surprised on the cost. But believe me he will get his moneys worth. Ha. Ha.

We are taking pictures on our wedding day at McKinley Park. So pray there will be lots of roses still blooming. Thank you for us calling us and letting us know you are coming to our wedding. We couldn't ask for a more blessed gift than to see you all there on Saturday September 19, 2009 at 12:30 p.m.

I was just thinking how blessed we are to have beautiful and supportive families and friends.  So many of you have gifts that God has given you and you are helping us with our Wedding. For instance, our cake is being made by our friend Debra Reeve who just took a cake decorating class.  My jewelry was made by my dear sweet sister Sandy. Ethel has made over 45o cookies with love , and she is Ron's and mine's spiritual mom. My spiritual sister Stacy is making banana nut bread. Thank you Tyla and Janeen for helping us with the preparations of the wedding.  My mom Esther has a beautiful voice and will be singing at the wedding . She carries a tone that is out of this world. My sister-in-law, Dove, made thank you cards. Every one is so special. Maria will be taking our pictures at the wedding and you will be able to go to her  web site and order copies. She will also make us an album which is truly a gift from heaven. Virginia and Barbara at church will be helping with the program flyer. Genny will play piano music hymns expressing the Spirit of the Lord. Andy her husband will do the sound system. My son Thomas  and Kerry who have done so much for us. He is the computer wiz. He designed the Save the date postcards and the invitations to our wedding. Along with those things he has helped us with our website "Jesus without borders" Ministry soon to be on live. Judy my daughter  is making the flowers and decorations for the wedding. She is a display manager for Penneys an knows her stuff. We are also thankful for Son Junior and Fabie. He helps me with my car. Even though he is in Texas. He is still an advisor on the Honda.   Ron's brother John and Cindy are making us something so special it's a surprise. Our special friend Robin will be making us a banner for our reception and she has so much visual talent. We can hardly wait to see it. Our dearest friend Erin and her hubby will be making a dvd of the wedding. After the wedding they will ask anyone who like to express words of wisdom to us and record that on a special dvd.   Thank you all for helping us for this is what our Lord wants us to do. Serve each other. We will always keep the memories dear to our hearts. Our wedding is bringing our family and friends together. That is the greatest give you can give us. We will be looking for all of you and smiling. 

I truly am looking forward to sharing my life with my beloved Ron.
