WEDDING INFORMATION

The time of our wedding is coming quickly, and Lena and I are excited. We would like to share our plans with you. The location of the church is in East Sacramento, near McKinley park. We would also suggest that you check out Mapquest for detailed directions.
We are delighted that our friends and family are excited for us and want to help.
We also appreciate that people want to give us gifts. Your presence at our wedding would be the greatest gift you could give us and to share in our joy of marriage. If you would like to give us a wedding gift we would like it to be of a personal nature that we can remember you by. If you would like to give money, that would be helpful to use in our Jesus Without Borders Ministry. God has blessed us with  this ministry to reach out to people who can't get to church or don't feel comfortable in a traditional church setting.
As the time draws nearer we  have a special request to our family and friends and that is for you to pray for us during this happy time that God has blessed us being together for his purpose to serve him as we marry. We love you all and look forward to hearing from you. Please leave comments when you visit our blog so we know you are getting the information you need.
Love in Christ, Ron & Lena

Our Marriage is getting closer!!!!!

My dear family and friends,

We can hardly believe it only two more months and we will be married in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. I just moved into our new beautiful apartment #35 at Westlake. Ron will move in on that special day September 19th when we wed.  I had lots of help moving with Ron, Thomas, Kerry, Alyssa(my 2 year old granddaughter), Ethel, Connie, Guy and Tarik. We did it in a day!! Can you believe it?
We are sending out the invitations to the wedding now and many of you have received them. We are hoping you can join us and experience our joy in our love with Christ as we marry on this special day.  We will change our vows in the eyes of our Heavenly Father. It will be a spiritual experience you won't forget. Please call and let us know if you can attend.  I love you all so much and pray for you always.
In Christ's Love,
Lena

Hi
This is Ron. I am back from Iowa. I am so thankful that Lena could come  back and see where I grew up and meet some of my family and friends. It was a blessing for us to visit my parents grave site at the Rock Island Arsenal in Moline Il, just across the river from Iowa. We prayed and talked about my parents. I wish they could have met Lena. I know they would have been excited and happy for us. Lena was also able to meet some friends of my parents and get a clearer idea of they kind of people they were. I also showed her the schools I went to and other local places of note. Having Lena go with me was a big help in getting us started in cleaning up my parents place and to get the estate closer to being settled. We had a wonderful time together.
Please keep visiting the website. We will keep everybody updated on our wedding plans. We will be sending out the invitations in the next couple of weeks. Lena and I look forward to sharing with you in the blessing of God bringing us together for His purpose.

                                                                                      Ron

WE ARE BACK FROM OUR VACATION !!!!!!!

Hi family and friends,

What a wonderful experience it was seeing the Mississippi River and a showboat going down the river. There were so many farms with red barns and lots of corn going all over. Where Ron lived there were large yards, with a bunny or two hopping around with no fences to divide the yards. Many of the towns are lot smaller than what we used to in Sacramento. Some towns have 500 to 1,000 people living there.  We saw fireflies that light up at dusk. Ron took me on a ride to Illinois only 10 minutes away from his hometown and I saw a Dutch windmill that was so cool. They actually make cornmeal out of corn when the winds pick up. We visited a famous park called Eagles Point. It has a castle that Ron used to climb as a child. The weather there was hot(90 degrees) and sometimes rainy with lots of humidity. The clouds were  so breathtaking at dusk with beautiful colors of blue, purple and yellow. I met his youngest brother Howard, his wife Faby and child Ana.(she is 5 years old) who live in Iowa. Ana called me Auntie Lena and made me feel at home and already part of the family
I pick Ron up tonight at the airport. He stayed extra week to finish up some family business. All in all this was quite fun for me and I will keep these memories in my heart. Have a Safe and Happy 4th. We will be thinking of you. We have about 80 days left until the wedding.!!!

I love you all in Christ's name,
Lena and My Beloved Ron
